The famed credit crunch is definately having an adverse effect on recruitment budgets at the moment, with many companies 'believing' that they should cut them or even worse freeze them, just to keep shareholders happy.
Admittedly recruitment can be an expensive cost within a business, but many companies just don't help themselves. They could certainly reduce their costs, if they only started doing some of the work themselves.
So if this is something that your company has done, then it would be great if you could share some of your before and after stats, as it would be a great motivator for other organisations looking to do the same.
