Recruitment agencies do provide an essential service for companies. Alright I am biased having been in the sector for a good few years!!
But the last few years has started to see alot of dissent aimed firmly and squarely at recruitment agencies. Whether it is bad service, high fees, attitude or simply they are a great scapegoat for HR Managers, I don't know.
The problem is, I think much of it is actually justified! What is your biggest complaint about using recruitment agencies?
Mine? ....easy......lack of ethics by many of them!

I agree Andy, but I think the biggest issue is with the people that run the recruitment agencies, do they allow their staff to do the job properly? In my experience (and there are exceptions to the rule) they target their staff on "CV's out the door" the numbers game, instead of letting them take time to provide a proper service to both client and candidate alike. |
